Privacy Policy
Retract exists to get material about people off the internet, so this policy is built around one idea: collect as little as possible, keep it only as long as the case needs it, and never trade it.
What we collect
- What you send us. Links, screenshots, context and any identity or ownership documents you choose to share for a filing. You control what you send; a codename is acceptable at intake.
- Contact handles. The Telegram username or WhatsApp number you message us from.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and uptime. This site itself sets no analytics cookies and runs no trackers.
What we use it for
- Assessing your matter and giving you a first read and quote.
- Preparing and submitting filings through platforms' official reporting and legal channels — only with your approval, and only the details the chosen route requires.
- Keeping you updated while the case runs.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone except the platform channel a filing is submitted to, and we never use your material for marketing.
How long we keep it
Case material is retained while the file is open and for a short period afterwards in case an appeal reopens it, then deleted on request or on our own schedule. Ask for deletion at any time via the contact channels and we will confirm when it's done.
Messaging apps
Conversations happen on Telegram and WhatsApp, which have their own privacy policies and message-retention behaviour outside our control. Share sensitive documents there only when the filing route requires them, and we'll tell you when that is.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about your case, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion. One message to @TGMassReporterSupport does it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted plainly on this page.
